Co financed by the european commission and launched in 2012, the research project “Medigene” will allow experts to better understand the genetic and environnemental causes of diseases like diabetes and obesity. This study is conducted on the mediterranean population, particularly on recents immigrant groups. Eighteen partners, all across Europe, gathered skills of anthropologists, geneticists, clinicians, etc. required for this project.
In this context, Intactile DESIGN designed and developed a tool for collecting personal, clinical and dietary data allowing researchers to compare genetic profiles of a large number of patients to their life style habits. The design of such a digital experience focused on the definition of multiple entries, on the annotation allowing to estimate quickly and precisely the quantities and on the creation of a deliberately simple display. The often tedious survey filling, has been made flexible and fluid with this user-centered approach.
